Looked after children and young offenders

The Looked after Children and Youth Offending Health Team provides support and a high quality community based general health nursing service to:

• Looked After children and young people who are over statutory school age, who are not accessing school health services (out of education, in alternative education, further education or employment).
• Young people subject to Youth Offending Service / Team involvement or support.

It works in collaboration with partner agencies both voluntary and statutory to achieve good health outcomes for looked after children and children / young people subject to involvement with youth offending services; support is also provided to their carers and families.
