Warehouse Safety Training online objectives

According to Health and Safety Executive figures, in 2015/16 alone an estimated 621,000 workers sustained a non-fatal injury at work. In 2016/17 137 workers were killed at work.

Warehouse operations can present a wide variety of potential hazards for workers. On completion of this course candidates will be able to minimise the risk of an incident while working amongst the various machines and other hazards typical to a warehouse environment.

In addition to helping keep workers safe and responsible, the course also serves as a reminder to employers of their duties, with the aim of creating a co-operative relationship to keep everyone safe.

Target Audience

This course is ideal for any employees that work in a warehouse, managers who supervise warehouse work, and employers who have employees that work in a warehouse.

Applicable legislation

Employers have a general duty under section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of their employees at work – this includes ensuring everyone operates within safe systems of work. The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (1999) require employers to put in place appropriate health and safety arrangements. This means having an effective health and safety management system.
