Our inpatient unit offers medically assisted detoxification programmes for people who are unable to detoxify from alcohol within the community and need 24 hour care to enable them to do so. You cannot refer yourself; you will need to be referred by your GP or another health professional caring for you. Your local community alcohol service can make a referral.

Appointment is by referral only – it is not possible to self- refer into the service. Referrals can be made by any medical professional or statutory/non-statutory agency (GP, psychiatrist, general hospital, social services, health visitor, voluntary sector agency etc.)
The waiting list is no longer than 6 weeks once a referral is received.
