Sefton Early Years Quality Improvement Officers
The role of the early years quality improvement officer is to provide a support, challenge and monitoring role to the early years sector within localities across Sefton.
Our priority is working with the early years workforce to ensure the children experience high quality provision within Sefton, including supporting settings to meet statutory and welfare requirements linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (2017). Through training, monitoring impact, and ongoing support and challenge we aim to improve outcomes for children, closing the gap between those who achieve and our most vulnerable children.
The Quality Improvement Officers have been absorbed in a locality model approach to drive support in raising the quality of communication, language and literacy. In addition, promoting a Five to Thrive approach and addressing the needs of all children through early intervention, ensuring all children receive high quality education and experiences.
