TACT Fostering North West
TACT Fostering North West was set up in 2003 from a single office in South Liverpool. Since that time we have expanded across the region and now cover Manchester, Liverpool, St Helens, Knowsley, Salford, Cheshire, Wirral, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside. We are particularly interested in expanding the number of carers we have in the Greater Manchester and Merseyside areas.
To know a little bit more about the office, its values and workforce, download TACT Fostering North West’s Statement of Purpose (SOP) (11 pages PDF).
What we do:
- Recruit foster carers
- Assess foster carers
- Provide quality placements to local authorities
- Encourage carer development through ongoing supervision, support and training
- Provide emergency and out-of-hours support
- Run Carers’ Support groups
- Run Children Who Foster groups
- Run children’s activity days
Foster carers needed:
We are always on the look for new foster carers from all the above areas. Our carers come from a diverse range of social and cultural backgrounds as do the children that we place. We currently have 39 carer households and 56 children and young people placed with us. If you have a spare bedroom, time and energy and as most of our foster carers would tell you, a strong sense of humour, why not enquire about becoming a foster carer with TACT Fostering North West.
