Merseyside Society for Deaf People (MSDP)

Merseyside Society for Deaf People offers Support Services across Merseyside to D/deaf, Deafened, Deaf Blind and Hard of Hearing People. We also support people with additional needs, aiming to promote and encourage independence and independent living supporting our clients to overcome everyday barriers in society.

All support staff are multi skilled with qualifications and experience in British Sign Language, Deaf Blind Manual and Health & Social Care and we employ a mix of Deaf and Hearing staff.

MSDP offers a Support Worker Duty service in Liverpool, Wirral and Sefton centres. Here we can deal with a wide range of issues by working with and on behalf of the D/deaf people in Merseyside. For all Local Authorities we provide a service to D/deaf people who are aged 18 years and over.

We advocate and encourage where appropriate, the use of qualified British Sign Language Interpreters who are registered with NRCPD to meet the needs of the deaf service users.
