Aid for children with Tracheostomies (A.C.T)
Aid for Children with Tracheotomies is a national self help group whose aims are: To give encouragement, support and practical advice to parents of a child with a tracheotomy. To raise funds to buy essential equipment which is not always readily available via the NHS.
Over the years ACT as a charity has helped to provide portable equipment to make life easier and bring added mobility to families, it has campaigned both at local and national level for the rights of children with a disability, worked alongside government departments to change legislation and provided seminars for professionals to provide continuing educational support and to promote the highest standard of professional good practice.
