Merseyside Crown Green Bowls
The County Association was formed in 1980 and along with 15 other County Associations and the British Parks County Association, is directly affiliated to the British Crown Green Bowling Association which is the governing body for the sport of Crown Green Bowls
The aims of the County Association are to promote, manage, develop and encourage Crown Green Bowling in the County area and to safeguard its members whilst participating in the sport.
Membership of the County Association includes all Leagues, Associations, Clubs and individual members. New members are always welcome, any age. Any sex, any ethnicity, whatever their ability.
Crown Green Bowls is a non contact sport that is suitable for all. Members also enjoy socialising. Please visit the different pages on the website in order to learn more about the sport, the County and what the sport offers. Opportunities are available at National, County, League and Club level. Opportunities are also available for Coaching Courses, Referees courses and Safeguarding Courses.
We represent the bowling clubs and players from as far North as Southport and as far South as the Dee estuary, from the banks of Liverpool Bay in the West to Widnes in the East covering in excess of 250 square miles. The area has a population of nearly one and a half million people.
A number of clubs provide instruction in how to play the game and all (in excess of 200) in Merseyside, will welcome new players.
