When You Wish Upon a Star has a simple mission, to grant the Wishes of children living with a life threatening illness, aged 4-17 years.
How to apply for a wish
When You Wish Upon a Star are happy to receive initial Wish enquiries from parents or guardians. Please contact us by phone 0115 9791720 or email head.office@whenyouwish.org.uk stating your child's name, age, address, medical condition, brief medical history and your contact telephone number.
The next stage
Comprehensive checks are made between other Charities, ensuring that the one Wish per child criteria is met. A Wish Form, Medical Authorisation and Media Disclaimer will then be sent if the charity check cross reference is clear. In some instances the Wish Application may incorporate a home visit from our Wish Fairy.
