Good Neighbour Befriending Service has volunteers who go out on a regular basis to spend time with an older person that may be lonely or isolated. The aim of the service is to help build up confidence to get our clients back out in to the community to reduce isolation.
All our volunteers are DBS checked and have to complete training provided by ourselves before they can go out to visit a client. Both the volunteer and client have our full support throughout the service and there is no charge or time limit for the service although it is a funded project within the Sefton and Liverpool areas.
Our service is aimed at people over the age of 65 although we can be flexible with this if there is a need. Our referrals come from other professionals, support services or clients can refer themselves.
If you would like more information about our service please feel free to contact a member of the team on 0151 203 1101.
