Christ Church Youth & Community Centre (CCYCC)
A registered charity set up for the benefit of the local community for social, educational & leisure activities. Opening times 8am onwards with two meeting rooms both holding 30 people and 2 IT suites.
Bootleway is our youth group targeting young people aged 8-19 years old. The club runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings 7-9pm with occasional weekend work. We offer many awards such as:
- Duke of Edinburgh
- Junior/Youth Achievements
- Youth Challenge
- First Aid
- Internal Awards
There are many awards, and specific awards are suited for different ages allowing the young people to take part in a variety of activities. Whilst attending our centre every young person is given the opportunity to take part in some nationally accredited awards, this enables us to set up specific activities that suit the young people in order to complete challenges to add great experience and skills to every individuals’ journey.
This group has been created to break down any barriers and work on any issues with regards to the transition from year 6 to 7.
We are currently in the process of running our first group of the year, and are preparing to begin our second group next month!!
- Monday Fun for Tots 9am – 11am
- Tuesday Community Lunch 12pm – 2pm
- Wednesday Chiropody (First Wed of each month ONLY) 9:30am – 11:30am; Coffee morning 10:30am – 12pm; Tai Chi 12pm – 1pm
- Thursday Councillors Surgery with Cllr Dave Robinson, Cllr Anne Thompson and Cllr Michael O’Brien -10am – 12pm; Foodbank 10am – 12pm; Quiz/Bingo 1pm – 2pm
