Dietetics South Sefton

Our dietitians offers one-to-one support and research based advice to people in Liverpool and Sefton on a range of clinical conditions: diabetes, heart disease, digestive problems, other conditions such as cancer, coeliac disease and food allergies, providing assessment, advice and individualised treatment planning.

The service is delivered from a range of locations, including at Liverpool hospitals. The south Sefton team also provides a home enteral feeding service for adults, and a home visiting service for patients unable to attend clinic.

Dietetic Assistants support dietitians by completing assessments and carrying out reviews and discussing them with a dietetian.

The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. You can be referred by any of the team based within your GP service or a consultant from a hospital.

You can either join a group education and support programme or have one to one support and information; our community food workers offer practical cooking skills to help put nutritional information into practice. We always bear cost in mind and organise a supermarket tour to understand labelling claims and see what healthy options are available locally.
