Community Church - Southport
Christian worship and teaching, training, activities for all ages: children's groups & youth groups and over 55's group mid-week. There are also conference facilities available.
We have great groups for all ages. There is a creche, children's work for school years Reception to Year 6 and then a youth group for Years 7 to 11.
The children usually go to their classes midway through the first part of our meeting: the youth sometimes stay in for our "second half". Your children will go and enjoy interactive classes that teach God’s word in a relevant way and of course there are games, laughter and the opportunity to make new friends.
If they are here for the first time , there is a registration form that we ask all parents to complete
We have policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety and well being of all children in our care. Anyone who wishes to work with babies, children and youth at The Community Church has to undergo a DBS check to ensure their suitability.
ZEAL: Youth Club!
During term time, 7pm through to 9pm on Thursday nights at The Family Life Centre, we host our weekly Youth Club for all Year 7 through to Year 11. It is free for our first time visitors and then just 50p a week after that. The Hub is in the Cedar Room of the Family Life Centre and during the evenings you get a chance to chill, relax or play Nintendo, pool, air hockey or a host of other group games in a relaxed, safe and friendly atmosphere.
If you are in a local College or at Edge Hill University then there are lots of things to get involved with.
Across the region we have our connect groups which meet midweek in homes, sharing faith, life, food and friendship.
We also have "Blueprints", a young adult/student group meeting midweek. Here we explore the issues and challenges of life from a faith perspective and share serious amounts of biscuits, cake and occasionally something healthy!
On Sunday mornings students and all ages join together for our praise, worship and morning message. Afterwards there is a chance to relax and join with others for a free lunch.
No worries about transport to and from Edge Hill University as we provide free lifts for anyone wanting to come along!
