The Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Centre
No one should face cancer alone and we are here at the Macmillan Centre in Southport, to support anyone affected by cancer, in whatever way we can.
We provide an information and support service for people affected by cancer, either themselves or as a family member/friend supporting someone with cancer. We run drop-in sessions at our centre - 10am to 4.00pm Mondays to Fridays. No question is too big or too small, so come and join us for a cup of tea and a chat. Alternatively you can phone us on 01704 533 024.
We offer cancer information materials, emotional support, benefits advice, outreach, volunteering opportunities and signposting to local support groups and advice. We also run various support groups at the Southport Macmillan Information & Support Centre, where we are based, and courses for people affected by cancer, such as 'The HOPE Course.'
We organise several ‘Health and Wellbeing Events’ each year, in partnership with Southport and Ormskirk Hospital Trust, and Southport and Formby CCG. We also refer people on or signpost to other support agencies and groups.
