Aims, Objectives & Outcome
To provide good quality temporary accommodation and create an environment that enables individuals to develop their skills to manage their own future independent tenancies.
Nugent works in partnership with Liverpool Mutual Homes, YMCA and Liverpool City Council to offer a safe and secure setting where individuals gain independence and control over their lives.
To move service users, with increased independent living skills into appropriate accommodation, for example, general needs housing association or private sector tenancies.
The service is flexible enough to respond rapidly to the changing need of the service and its users.
When service users are ready to move on they can be referred on for support as and when appropriate to resettle independently in their own accommodation.
All applicants are assessed via a Mainstay Assessment Centre and interviewed by project staff at Nugent prior to acceptance of a tenancy.
Each service user is provided with a worker to help formulate and implement an individual support package to assist with both resettlement and move-on.
Both the Support Plan and Risk Plan are reviewed on a regular basis which is responsive to the individual service user.
The service is dedicated to ensuring that service users have respect, dignity, independence, choice and control over their lives.
The service is committed to diversity and anti-discriminatory practice.
