ASDA Bootle Autism Hour
Asda in Bootle has a ‘quiet hour’ for customers wishing to have a more relaxed shopping experience. Here are all the details.
Asda, Bootle has an Inclusive Hour between 10am and 11am each Tuesday and this continuing on the same day and time each week on a Tuesday.
Lights will be dimmed on the shop floor and on fixtures, radio turned off, all security buzzers turned down, tanoy announcements stopped and all the beeps on checkouts will be turned down. This has been running in a lot of Asda stores and has been very successful.
Our Inclusive Hour is part of the new Purple Tuesday initiative, so we've worked closely with local charities and authorities to see what more we can do to improve the shopping experience and teamed up with the Alzheimer's Society to provide dementia awareness training to colleagues in the stores.
