Nothern Hockey Club

The Northern is a thriving sport and social club set in its own picturesque grounds to the north of Crosby on Merseyside.

We play Cricket, Hockey, Squash, Racketball and Crown Green Bowls and enjoy a full calendar of social events throughout the year.

The Northern Club has excellent playing facilities including 3 cricket pitches and 2 pavilions, a floodlit hockey Astroturf pitch, 5 squash courts and 2 top class bowling greens, all located on the same complex

We are affiliated to Lancashire County Cricket and Hockey Associations, Merseyside County Squash and Rackets Association, and participate in the Liverpool Cricket (ECB Premier) Competition. Northern is among the very finest sport, leisure and social clubs in the North West and beyond.

HOCKEY - We have juniors ranging from ages 7 to 14 and a clear pathway for juniors to progress to adult teams.

Whether you are new to hockey or returning to the sport after not playing for years we have teams and training to suit everyone. Training for juniors is on Tuesdays 7.00 to 8.00 pm. Tuesday hockey sessions and events usually run between June – April. League fixtures are played mostly on Saturdays between September-April. Training for juniors is Tuesdays 7.00-8.00pm and adults runs on the same night 7:30-9pm.

You can pop along to Northern and try out hockey on a Tuesday night – you don’t need any kit apart from trainers  (shinpads and gumshields recommended for juniors). We even provide the sticks so don’t rush out and buy one!
