St. Oswald's Church (Netherton)

St. Oswald's is a Church of England worship and community centre which provides a diversity of regular worship services and occasional services.  They have a varied programme of events, regular activities which encompass all ages and are open to all.  The centre is available to groups at a minimal charge.

What's On

Footsteps - our lively & fun Sunday School group for children up to 11 years old. Bible stories, crafts, games, songs and so on. Takes place during the 10am Holy Communion service on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th Sunday's of each month.

Ozzy's - after school Bible stories, quizzes, games & craft for primary school age children Mondays 3.15 - 4.30pm in term time, in the church centre.

Explore the Bible - friendly and relaxed ways to learn about our faith together. A Tuesday morning group and a Wednesday evening group meet weekly. Please get in touch with Rev Debbie Statter via the contact page for more info.

Mini-Church - songs, stories and fun for pre-school / nursery age children monthly in term time at 11.15am, followed by a buffet lunch.

Messy Church - exploring faith through messy and fun craft, with games, Bible stories and a meal together included as well. For primary school children and their family. Meets once each half term on Tuesdays at 4.15pm

'Grub at the Hub' Carers Cafe - good savoury and sweet food with a cuppa in a secure, safe, relaxed & friendly environment with plenty of space, for all carers whether of young or old together with those you care for. Last Saturday each month from 12-3pm.

Lunch Club - fortnightly on Wednesday's at 12 midday. All welcome for good food and company.

We also have an Art group that uses our premises each Tuesday and Wednesday morning and is open to new members, and Sefton ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) Parent / Carer Support which is an informal drop in time for parents and carers of ASD children to come along for some time out, support and encouragement, a chance to unload, an opportunity to share / receive relevant information etc, this is now part of the 'Grub at the Hub Carers Cafe' listed above.

South Sefton & Crosby Area Food bank:

St. Oswald's Church Centre is a distribution point for the South Sefton & Crosby area Food Bank. Open each Thursday 11.00am - 2.00pm.
