WEA (Workers Educational Association)
Who we are and what we do
We are the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education and we are particularly proud of our current presence in Liverpool.
In every local authority area across Liverpool, the WEA targets the most deprived deciles of population.
Our focus on employability, health and wellbeing, community engagement and culture directly addresses the vision to improve the economy and life chances of those in the Liverpool City Region.
- We widen participation in education by targeting those furthest from work
- We reach people others can’t and through learning we help people create positive life changes that ripple out from individuals to communities
- For thousands of people in the Liverpool City Region, our work with partners provides a life raft to a better future. The impact is not only on employability but their health and wellbeing, family life and community engagement.
