Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

AA is a voluntary fellowship of men and women who are alcoholics and who help each other to achieve and maintain sobriety by sharing experiences and giving mutual support.

Members are helped to achieve sobriety by staying away from drink, one day at a time. Group meetings help to maintain this and each member follows a programme of Twelve Steps to recovery. Self-honesty amongst members is fundamental and anonymity preserved.
