How We Collect and Use Data

We ask for personal data such as your name, address, telephone number, date of birth, national insurance number and email address when conducting an Eligibility Check. We use this data to operate, maintain and provide the features and functionality of the service. The data can be retained by us in order to facilitate audit purposes.

Analytics

We may directly collect analytics data, or use third party analytics tools and services, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service. We collect and use this analytics information in aggregate form so that it cannot be reasonably manipulated to identify individual users.

Sharing of Data

We will not sell your data to third parties. If required, we will share details of Eligibility Checks submitted through our Service to relevant Local Authorities in order to allow them to complete any additional processes.

We will also disclose data where required by law or we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to 1) comply with the law and reasonable requests for law enforcement; 2) to protect the quality, integrity and security of our Service.

Telecoms Regulations 2000

Communications with the Local Authority (including online transactions) may be subject to monitoring and recording only for purposes permitted by the Telecommunications (Lawful Business Practice) (Interception of Communications) Regulations 2000 in order to prevent or detect a crime, or investigate or detect the unauthorised use of the service.

Data Protection Act

The Data Controller for purposes of the Data Protection Act is the Local Authority.
